I&#8217;m actually quite impressed by the image stabilization feature of the kit lens on my camera, it allowed me to have the shutter open long enough to blur the water, as well as keeping the lower part of the fountain itself in focus.</p>

I&#8217;ll be shooting more of these once I have access to a tripod because the higher ISO speeds needed to be able to shoot in this light caused the shutter speed to be dangerously close to being too long to hold without one.  </p>
<p>In any case, I&#8217;m pretty happy with the results so far.</p>
<p>None of the settings of this photo were manipulated in any way, this is what the sunset looks like through the pollution out here in southern California.</p>
